Developer Spotlight: Laurence Stock, Eastern Bank

Since 2014 Laurence Stock has been Co-Founder & SVP Emerging Technologies at Eastern Labs, the technology incubator within Eastern Bank. Eastern Bank is the oldest and largest mutual bank in the country, headquartered in Boston MA.

Laurence leads the Product and Engineering teams within Labs that developed the Bank’s new paperless, 5-minute small business loan product. Working with teams across the Bank, Labs was able to rapidly develop a new innovative product in a highly regulated environment. Labs leveraged Docusign’s eSignature API to quickly integrate DocuSign’s capabilities into their platform at the prototype stage, providing early proof points of the customer experience impact of eSignature. Eastern Bank’s small business customers can now access the capital they need to grow without the frustration of paperwork.

Prior to Eastern Labs, Laurence spent 20 years working in a number of operational, technical and finance roles in Boston-area technology startups.
