This week, more than 3,500 technology entrepreneurs, real estate agents, marketing executives, brokers, and other minds hungry for innovation congregated at Inman Connect New York.
The conference kicked off Tuesday with a coffee meetup in the Marriott Marquis lobby. Once adequately caffeinated, attendees dispersed to registration, the Partner Showcase, Startup Alley, and more. The conference also featured a special emphasis on tech issues in real estate with “Hacker Connect.”
Tuesday was also packed with insights from speaker presentations, including “Five in Five: My Five Best Tips in 300 Seconds,” by Candy Miles Crocker, Founder of Real Life Real Estate Training, “Chat Bots: They Are Going to Save You Time and Money,” by Nathan Joens, CEO, Structurely, and “Punch above your weight class: how to create your competitive advantage with technology,” from DocuSign’s own Vice President of Product and Real Estate, Glenn Shimkus.
Wednesday boasted sessions such as “Own It! The Power of Women at Work,” led by Sallie Krawcheck, CEO and Co-Founder, Ellevest, and learning labs like“Dodging the tech money pit: how to roll out new tech without wasting money,” led by DocuSign’s own Product Specialist for Real Estate, Brent Boyens and Onboarding Success Manager, Real Estate, DocuSign, Brian Kim.
Alas, all good things must come to an end — and Thursday marks Inman Connect’s final full day. From “Innovate or Die: The Top 4 Secrets Behind NextHome’s Path to Success,” led by CEO of NextHome, James Dwiggins, to “Dealing with instant everything: how to compete & win in the on-demand world,” led by DocuSign’s Sr. Director Industry & Segment Marketing, Real Estate, Justin Engelland, and Vice President & General Manager of Global Real Estate, Georg Gerstenfeld, this year’s Inman Connect NY had no shortage of valuable, applicable information attendees could take home and put to use right away.
