Jump-start Seller Productivity with Docusign and Salesforce in 2026
Accelerate and automate the entire sales cycle with Docusign IAM integrated in Salesforce.

With more technology available than ever, the sales process should be a breeze. Yet sellers still face frustrating challenges that make closing a sale feel like an uphill battle, including disconnected systems and inefficient workflows. A single sales cycle requires swiveling between platforms, which can cause deals to stall and sellers to burn out.
A better way is possible—and it involves Docusign Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM), integrated in Salesforce. A centralized, digital, AI-powered approach, Docusign IAM delivers an integrated experience across the entire sales contract process—from creation and negotiation to execution and renewal—directly in Salesforce.
When integrated with the platform sales teams use most, Docusign IAM accelerates deals, enables smarter decisions, and drives greater productivity. Instead of switching between systems, sales reps can now manage everything related to agreements from the No. 1 CRM platform.
A single source of truth
Forty-five percent of business leaders input data manually into contracts when that data already exists in other systems. Siloed teams and multiple repositories—often spread across CRMs, CPQs, and cloud storage—lead to errors and fragmented customer experiences. With thousands of contracts and no single source of truth, sellers struggle to locate the final version of an agreement, and sales fall apart.
Docusign and Salesforce solve that challenge. A single source of truth with live contract data supports forecasting, renewal planning, and margin analysis. With up-to-date information at their fingertips, sales reps can get ahead of renewals, upsells, and cross-sells for smarter, more proactive decision-making.
Stay within your CRM and accelerate deals
With Docusign’s deep Salesforce integrations, inefficient workflows and disconnected systems no longer interrupt seller productivity. Swiveling becomes a thing of the past, and static agreements become dynamic assets that support faster, more proactive sales. Add in Docusign for Agentforce, Salesforce’s agentic platform, and you have a natural language AI chatbot to answer reps’ requests for data—whether it’s data contained in the Salesforce CRM or Docusign agreements.
Seamless integrations with Slack and other productivity tools make the unified workflow even more powerful and maximize the tech stack investment. Integrating Docusign with Salesforce lets sales reps create, commit, and manage contracts, as well as gain data for insights and better negotiations, all while staying within the Salesforce platform.
Here’s what a seller’s day can look like with Docusign and Salesforce:
Megan is a sales rep at an insurance company looking for sales opportunities. While in Salesforce, she opens Agentforce and asks it to pull up expired contracts or upcoming renewals from the centralized repository.
Agentforce instantly filters through thousands of agreements and brings up those with upcoming expirations or renewals. Megan clicks on one and, using natural language, asks Agentforce to summarize the key details for her. Agentforce identifies the contract’s terms and obligations—as well as red flags like risky clauses or outdated terms—helping Megan determine that it could be a good renewal opportunity.
Megan asks Agentforce to generate a new MSA, based on the previous terms, for the customer in question. Using pre-approved templates, IAM pulls customer data from the Salesforce CRM into a professional-looking contract aligned with her organization's policies.
After Megan approves, depending on the company’s playbook, the agreement could, for example, automatically route to the legal and finance teams. The contract’s status is updated in the Salesforce CRM.
Docusign’s AI engine, Iris accelerates the review process for the legal team by summarizing the MSA, highlighting key terms, and answering questions via natural language processing. Legal then reviews and, if satisfied, approves the contract.
Now that it’s approved, Agentforce prompts the IAM workflow to send the agreement to the client via Docusign. IAM pulls key contact info from the Salesforce CRM and emails the contract to Tom, Megan’s customer.
Tom opens the email and clicks on the agreement, opening it in Docusign. Immediately, Docusign Iris generates a summary and highlights key details, like dates and payment terms. Tom can even ask questions using natural language processing. After reviewing the Docusign Iris summary, Tom suggests a change to the contract terms.
Agentforce notifies Legal of the suggested change, and Docusign Iris offers a counter clause that benefits both parties. Legal approves, and Agentforce resends the contract to Tom, who reviews it again and adds his signature using Docusign.
Once signed, the contract’s status changes to completed and a copy is saved in the CRM, so the centralized repository always reflects the most current information.
Via the Docusign Slack integration, Megan receives an automatic Slack message alerting her that the customer has signed and the MSA is live.
How companies are using Docusign and Salesforce
Unified workflows and instant visibility into contract data empower sales teams to be twice as productive, driving higher revenue and dramatically reducing time and effort.
Companies like Vestwell—a financial technology provider that helps individuals save for retirement, education, and health care—are seeing results. Docusign and Salesforce saved Vestwell 200 hours of manual labor monthly, leading to 90% faster contract completion.
“By integrating Docusign CLM and eSignature with our RevOps tech stack, we were able to consolidate work happening in a lot of different places to create a unified experience that positioned us for scale and revenue expansion,” said Jon Mark, chief operating officer.
Scheduling platform Calendly also saw an improvement in productivity. “We sent out about 300 documents a year with PandaDoc,” said Sarah Jackson, senior manager of revenue operations. “But just halfway into the year, we’ve already hit the 1,400 mark with Docusign eSignature—and that’s because the integration with Salesforce makes it super easy for sales reps to create, send, and track agreements.”
Maximize your investment in Salesforce—and your sales teams
Docusign and Salesforce transform the sales process from a series of disparate parts to a single, unified, intelligent workflow. Eliminating friction by bringing agreement tasks directly into Salesforce, the integration allows sellers to generate, track, and understand agreements in just a few clicks, without ever leaving their flow of work. Relying on Agentforce and Docusign Iris for AI-powered automation, sellers can easily loop in the right people and gain insights for future negotiations. The result is smarter decisions, greater productivity, easier approvals, and faster deals.
