Docusign Foundation
Agreements for Good: Investing in trust that lasts
Our mission is simple: to invest in the power of agreements that bring people together, build trust, and create lasting change.

Driving lasting change through agreements
Docusign has always been about agreements. Our company mission—to redefine how the world comes together and agrees—compels us to extend that same principle to the world’s toughest challenges.
Agreements for Good is a core program of the Docusign Foundation, through which we fund collaboration itself. We support the trust-building, alignment, and shared accountability that allow bold ideas to grow strong and last.
Through our grants, we provide both one-time funding to launch new partnerships and multi-year support to help established collaborations endure. Our focus is not only on what gets done, but on how people come together to make it happen.

Our priorities
We invest in three enduring priority areas where a foundation of trust is critical for success.
Environment & SustainabilityInvesting in agreements that help people and nature flourish together on a healthier, more resilient planet.
- Data Privacy & Security
Supporting agreements that secure digital lives, protect privacy, and build trust in the age of AI.
- Future of Work
Advancing agreements that ensure every person can thrive in a changing economy with stability, opportunity, and dignity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Collaborations and partnerships that are advancing agreements in our three priority areas: (1) Environment & Sustainability, (2) Data Privacy & Security, and (3) Future of Work.
- Work that develops collaborative infrastructure, governance models, or enforceable agreements.
- Activities that build the foundation for durable collaboration, such as convening, facilitation, agreement design, prototype partnerships, and backbone coordination.
We fund multi-organizational collaborations and partnerships.
- One-time grants require at least two organizations working together.
- Multi-year grants require at least three organizations in formal collaboration.
We especially encourage cross-sector collaborations — for example, a nonprofit, a business, and a public agency working together toward shared outcomes.
The lead organization receiving the funds must be an eligible entity, such as 501(c)(3) organizations or global equivalent (e.g., registered nonprofits, charities, NGOs, etc), and fiscally sponsored projects. Applicants may include state, tribal, or local government entities serving as the backbone organization of the collaboration.
- We accept applications from around the globe.
- We support work at both the local and global level, including regions where Docusign has a major presence as well as collaborations anywhere in the world that align with our focus areas.
- Work outside of our three funding priorities.
- Organizations or projects that are not working in a collaborative or coalition model.
- Projects without an agreement-building component.
- Political activity, campaigns, or lobbying for candidates or parties; work that is primarily focused on influencing elections.
- Individuals, for-profit businesses, religious organizations, or discriminatory organizations.
- Fundraising events.

What success looks like
For us, an effective grant is one that helps partners move from good intentions to shared commitments that endure. It gives collaborators the resources and stability to stay at the table long enough to work through conflict, clarify roles, and build real accountability. We know success is happening when:
Communities most affected by the issues have a voice and power in decisions.
Partnerships formalize agreements; whether that’s a governance structure, shared standards, or an enforceable commitment.
Trust grows among partners, and agreements endure beyond any single project or funding cycle.
How to apply
If you lead a collaborative working in our priority areas, we invite you to begin by completing our alignment check. If aligned, you’ll receive information on how to formally apply for funding.
