In one example, loan instructions were received through Lextech late on a Thursday night for a Friday settlement. The borrower, based in New York, risked penalty interest if settlement was delayed. Using Lextech XpressDocs with Docusign, all required documents — from powers of attorney to broker forms — were securely sent, signed, and returned within 12 hours. International signing clauses were automatically adapted, eliminating complexity and ensuring seamless settlement across time zones.
In another case, a regional credit union was finalising a farm loan for an agricultural customer based in outback New South Wales. Before the digital signing solution, the borrower would have faced several hours of driving each way to visit the nearest branch or post office to review and sign documents, often delaying settlement by days.
