Unlocking Agreement Intelligence in Salesforce with Docusign IAM and Agentforce

Summary6 min read

To help you maximise your existing Salesforce investment, Docusign is introducing new integrations with IAM for Salesforce users. These include Agentforce, embedded Docusign Navigator agreement insights, and Docusign Maestro workflow extensibility.

Docusign IAM and Salesforce integration

Sales professionals spend far too much of their valuable time creating new agreements and searching for completed contracts. Just as critically, manually entering agreement data often results in errors, delaying time to revenue and increasing risk to the organisation.

Disconnected workflows are a key driver of inefficiencies in agreement management. According to research from Docusign and Deloitte, companies spend 18% excess time on agreement processes on average, leading to over 55 billion hours wasted globally each year.

The Docusign Intelligent Agreement (IAM) platform is built to help you break free from disconnected workflows and outdated processes, where valuable data gets trapped in static, flat files, the “Agreement Trap”. A key part of this strategy is deep integration with strategic partners like Salesforce, enabling seamless end-to-end workflow automation and delivering critical agreement information to sellers right within their workflow. Research shows that organisations with more advanced enterprise integration for agreement management exceeded their financial goals 36% more often than organisations with more manual agreement processes.

Maximise your Salesforce investment with IAM

To help you maximise your existing Salesforce investment, Docusign is introducing new integrations with IAM for Salesforce users. These include Agentforce, embedded Docusign Navigator agreement insights, and Docusign Maestro workflow extensibility.

With these powerful tools, you can integrate across platforms, forming a powerful, connected ecosystem. It will ensure your existing tools, applications and systems work together — eliminating silos, reducing friction and enhancing productivity across departments.

Additionally, a connected ecosystem must be able to grow and adapt as your business needs evolve. By integrating with a flexible and scalable platform like IAM, you can quickly adjust to changing demands and fully integrate new tools and technologies into your current workflows.

Navigator agreement insights in Salesforce

The Docusign experience will be available to sales professionals where they already work. We’re embedding Navigator, our AI-powered agreement repository, within Salesforce so sales reps can seamlessly access relevant agreements and contract history — eliminating the need to hunt for documents or figure out where an agreement is stored. In addition to meeting users where they are, Docusign delivers valuable insights by leveraging Salesforce’s contextual data housed within critical account information, such as assigned sales reps, customer accounts, deal stages and past interactions.

The result? Faster access to the right information, less time wasted toggling between systems and more time spent sourcing and closing deals. Navigator agreement insights in Salesforce will be available to IAM users in May 2025.

Salesforce extension app

Managing agreements within CRM platforms has traditionally been a complex and time-consuming process, hampered by manual data entry and limited flexibility. But now, with the new Salesforce extension app, you can seamlessly integrate Salesforce into custom agreement workflows in Maestro — driving end-to-end agreement automation without writing a single line of code. For example, Salesforce can now be cleanly integrated into the customer experience for specific IAM-driven transactions like new account openings and loan applications.

The Salesforce extension app enables bi-directional data transfers as well as file transfers, helping to drive reliability and trust in the system of record. The Salesforce extension app empowers your sales team by:

  • Enabling self-service agreement creation – Customers can initiate agreements through a simple Docusign Web Forms link embedded on your website or shared via URL

  • Eliminating duplicate data entry – Automatically pre-fill agreements with Salesforce data to reduce manual input and eliminate costly errors

  • Ensuring real-time data accuracy – Updated information flows back into Salesforce and other agreement templates, ensuring all records are kept in sync throughout the agreement lifecycle

All of this results in faster deals, fewer manual tasks and a seamless experience for your teams and your customers. The Salesforce extension app is available today in the Docusign App Center

Docusign for Agentforce

If you already use Salesforce, you’ve most likely heard about Agentforce: Salesforce’s AI-powered assistant. We know sellers waste a lot of time searching for the right agreement or creating agreements from scratch. That’s why we’re introducing Docusign for Agentforce, which will increase seller productivity and empower them to close more deals faster, all within Salesforce.

In sales, time is money, and Docusign for Agentforce helps sellers:

  • Find their contracts and access critical information quickly, allowing faster review of key terms and details within customer contracts using Agreement Q&A

  • Initiate crucial agreement workflows, including identity verification, Web Forms, document signing and renewal management

  • Accelerate time to value and reduce costly technical implementation cycles with low-code/no-code agent actions deployment

In addition to improving seller productivity, Docusign for Agentforce boosts legal department efficiency by reducing the number of time-consuming, arbitrary requests like tracking down an MSA or explaining agreement terms.

By providing sellers direct access to agreement data at the right time, Docusign for Agentforce improves efficiency by empowering your sales team to close deals faster, drive more revenue and manage renewals easily.

We’re excited to announce the first phase of Docusign for Agentforce, launching in June 2025. This release will include Docusign Agent Actions for Maestro, eSignature, Gen and CLM.

Later this year, we’ll roll out a powerful new agent template that integrates with Navigator, our centralised agreement repository. This will help sellers quickly access and understand contracts, boost revenue and effortlessly manage renewals.
