A Statement of Work (SOW) is a detailed document that defines the specific scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, and acceptance criteria for a single project or task performed under a pre-existing Master Services Agreement (MSA).

A Master Service Agreement (MSA) is a long-term framework agreement that establishes the general legal and commercial terms that will govern all future services provided by a Service Provider to a Client, allowing specific projects to be agreed upon quickly using separate Statements of Work (SOWs).

A Service Agreement is a legally binding contract that defines the terms and conditions under which a Service Provider (independent contractor or company) will perform specific Services for a Client.
