Docusign’s annual customer conference hit Sydney on 12 August. We shared some big new announcements, spoke to some incredible customers, and more.
Every year, the leaders of Docusign embark on a world tour to celebrate our latest innovations and customer successes. It was Sydney’s turn in mid-August and the harbourside city didn’t disappoint.
Customers, partners, and industry experts flocked to The Sofitel at Darling Harbour on 12 August 2025 to hear the big product announcements, inspirational stories from customers like We Are Mobilise, and so much more.

Our Group Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, Shaun McLagan, kicked off the keynote with a personal story about signing a mortgage. As he said, “The amount of paperwork, forms, emails, back-and-forths… it felt like a full-time job. As a customer, it was painful. As someone who works in digital agreements, it was character-building.”
As Shaun implied, there is still a huge opportunity for businesses to transform agreement processes and turn manual, time-consuming processes into painless, effortless experiences. And the rest of the event showcased exactly how Docusign is enabling businesses to do just that. Not just to create happier customers; but to solve the real business problems around productivity, resourcing, and security.
AI takes centre stage with key product updates announced
At Momentum, we shared the latest developments with Docusign Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM). This contracting platform was first introduced to market a year ago, and is now the fastest-growing product in Docusign’s history.
Today, we’re focused on making Docusign IAM even better for our customers. One of the main ways we’re doing this is with AI, specifically Docusign Iris. This purpose-built AI engine is built upon our unique agreement DNA, with two decades worth of experience and intelligence powering it. Docusign Iris understands the language of agreements like nothing else in the market — and is helping customers create and negotiate contracts faster, simplify the end-to-end review process, and get better, more actionable insights.
As well as Docusign Iris, other key announcements at Momentum included:
A new suite of agreement preparation tools that can seamlessly pull in data to generate customer agreements with ease, including a template builder for creating professional agreements using up-to-date, pre-approved terms.
AI-Assisted review, an automated red-lining tool that jumpstarts a substantive review of any agreement for risk and alignment with your company’s policies. It's like having a contract expert at your side, scanning every word to flag hidden risks that human eyes might miss.
Agreement Desk, a collaboration space where all teams — from sales and procurement to legal, finance, and HR — can submit, track, and manage agreements in process. It provides instant visibility across every deal, breaking down the silos between departments.
Workspaces, built to help businesses that manage complex, multi-step agreements by streamlining how parties are guided through the signing process.
A partnership with local identity verification provider, IDVerse, for state-of-the-art, AI-powered document authentication and biometric verification, and local data residency.
Custom extractions to find and track any business-specific terms across your entire agreement repository.
The obligation management dashboard for tracking contractual commitments across parties, to help you maximise agreement value and reduce risk.
Most of the above updates will be available in Australia in the first half of 2026, with some launching as soon as this month.
