Docusign Named Leader in 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Contract Lifecycle Management

We are thrilled to announce that Docusign has been named a Leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contract Lifecycle Management. This is the third year in a row Docusign has been identified as a Leader by Gartner, and we are pleased to be recognised for our completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Managing the entire lifecycle of agreements is one critical part of the way Docusign is helping customers digitally transform their businesses by reducing risks, supporting compliance obligations, and eliminating friction to improve their customer experiences with tangible, measurable and sustainable results that translate directly to substantial cost and time savings.

In its assessment, Gartner evaluated CLM vendors based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision. Docusign CLM was positioned highest among all vendors on the ability to execute axis and second furthest in completeness of vision axis. Of the 18 solutions evaluated, Docusign CLM was named one of only five Leaders.

  • Salesforce integrations: Docusign is investing, alongside the Salesforce product team,  in building deeper integrations between CLM and Salesforce products. This goes beyond traditional CRM integrations. 

  • AI and contract analytics: Docusign has one of the most mature contract review and analysis solutions on the market.

  • Innovation: Docusign has made significant investments into cutting edge solutions, which drive significant advantages in understanding and defining the future of CLM.

Gartner defines contract life cycle management (CLM) software as “an application that proactively manages contracts from the initiation stage through the award, compliance and renewal stages.“

According to Gartner, “CLM appeals to companies of all sizes in all industries. Implementing it can lead to significant improvements in revenue management, cost savings and efficiency. Understanding and automating CLM can also limit an organisation’s liability and increase its compliance with legal requirements.”

Gartner recommends “the most progressive approach to CLM is to adopt it as part of an enterprisewide strategy that considers the interdependencies among contracts, business processes, operational and financial results, and that indicates a high level of maturity.” 1
