There’s no doubt that we’ve seen some big changes in recent months. And while it remains unclear what the future holds - one thing is clear. People – and entire businesses – have had to adapt.

Technology is playing an enormous role in our lives this year. More than ever, people are becoming dependent on internet connection in order to work remotely and keep in contact with family and friends. 

In business, there’s been a lot of digital transformation going on, too. Many organisations have been quick to implement new platforms, tools and processes to enable employees to work from home. 

On 14th May, we hosted our own virtual event, MomentumLive Europe, where we spoke to Docusign experts and caught up with some inspirational leaders about how businesses can adapt and are adapting in order to keep business moving during this challenging time.

What are the best remote working tools? 

A common theme in the responses was that the tools we’ve been leaning on during COVID-19 are here to stay. More people are expected to keep working from home beyond the crisis.

So, videoconferencing to enable collaboration amongst a distributed workforce. Document sharing to enable co-authoring. Electronic signature and contract lifecycle management platforms to enable anyone to sign and manage contracts from anywhere.

MomentumLive Europe was in itself a massive pivot. Morphing from an in-person event featuring expos, learning labs, keynotes and more into a pan-European, one-hour virtual event. The content talks to how businesses have pivoted during COVID-19, and how Docusign is helping them to do so. 

During the event, we also conducted a live Q&A, with experts on-hand to answer any questions.

Dan Springer, CEO at Docusign opened the event - highlighting how Docusign is supporting organisations’ responses to COVID-19 - in an environment that requires agreements to be executed remotely, in a legally enforceable way. 

Dan explains the necessity of agreements for doing business and the Docusign Agreement Cloud - which covers all the phases of the agreement process. From preparing, to signing, acting on and managing agreements.

Olivier, VP of Product at Docusign dives into some hands-on demos, showing us how to use specific Docusign features like Bulk Send for HR policy updates and PowerForms for authorised requests.

What the customers had to say


Santander UK’s SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking teams offer financial services products to businesses with a turnover of between £500,000 and £500 million. With a focus on providing the best customer experience, Santander is currently responding to the immediate needs of its customers and employees. Docusign has allowed them to do this while working from home. 

Santander is dealing with both small and large business interruption loan schemes, as well as capital repayment holiday requests and waiving covenant requests. And they are using Docusign CLM and eSignature to keep business moving. 

Santander is benefiting from specific functionalities such as bulk upload in order to deal with a huge surge in demand for business interruption loans especially. This is essentially a new product offering for them - in order to stay on top of applications they have had to issue hundreds of letters every day. 

Emergency lending schemes have been crucial for many UK businesses that have struggled with cashflow during COVID-19. Santander is using Docusign in order to process loans faster. They are using Docusign CLM to digitise the letter, which means that they can be issued at pace, executing the loans by integrating Docusign eSignature. They are also using specific functionalities such as bulk upload to issue hundreds of letters every day. 


Teledoctor24 distinguishes itself by being one of the first companies to legally implement e-prescriptions and online sick leave in an industry which has struggled with establishing a legal framework. The company focuses on what is really important –  providing people with the possibility to stay at home while still being able to have a consultation with a professional and receive prescriptions and sick letters digitally. 

TeleDoctor24 chose Docusign because the business requires QES (Qualified Electronic Signature), and Docusign is the only provider to offer a fully digital solution and end-to-end solution for QES. It also integrates seamlessly with IDnow. 

TeleDoctor24 is using Docusign eSignature and Docusign Identify to offer a wide range of methods to verify the identity of a signer. The app integrates the document signature together with the remote video identification from the ID provider IDNow. This issues a qualified electronic signature (QES) that is legally valid. It corresponds to a handwritten signature in Germany and throughout Europe. 

In addition to electronic prescriptions, sick notes and doctor’s letters, they’re also using Docusign for onboarding doctors. This means that doctors can start on the same day – a time-saving and efficient process.
