DocuSign Achieves DoD Impact Level 4 Provisional Authorization

DocuSign is proud that, in April 2021, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) granted DocuSign a provisional Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 (IL4) authorization for several offerings, including DocuSign eSignature and DocuSign CLM.

In achieving IL4 provisional authorization (P-ATO), DocuSign has demonstrated to independent auditors that it meets DISA’s rigorous security requirements for storing and handling controlled unclassified information (CUI), including For Official Use Only (FOUO) information.

DocuSign has successfully maintained the authorization since 2021 and recently became onboarded as a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) to the DoD’s Defense Information Systems Network (DISN). DocuSign became integrated by successfully connecting to the DISN through the DISA Boundary Cloud Access Point (BCAP) to implement our IL4-authorized offerings into mission-critical processes and workflows. This provisional authorization, and recent BCAP connection, showcase our deep commitment to serving the DoD and improving the joint warfighter experience beyond the battlefield.

In addition to IL4, eSignature and CLM are authorized at the FedRAMP Moderate Impact Level.
