DocuSign helps Alameda County go Green

Just a hop across the Bay from San Francisco lies Alameda County, with its well-known cities of Oakland and Berkeley. When Alameda County recently got serious about going green, IT Manager Howard Hill knew there was only one logical choice: cut out paper use by integrating DocuSign.

“We did a pilot,” Hill says, “and we were so pleased about DocuSign’s integration with our existing systems, it became one of the main factors” in their decision, the other being market leadership. The result: Hill’s goal, reducing paper use 25 percent by 2020, has already been met far ahead of schedule. As a bonus, he adds, most County documents are signed within an hour. “With our users,” Hill boasts, “we don’t even need to show them ROI. They see it!”
