What is Docusign AI Labs?
The introduction of Generative AI technology in recent months as evidenced by the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) has the potential to accelerate the digital transformation in practically every industry. At Docusign, we are leaning-in to this generational shift by bringing this market-leading AI innovation to power intelligent agreement journeys. AI Labs is a vehicle for experimentation and innovation that transcends Docusign's product portfolio, and serves as an environment for customers to provide feedback in a rapid, iterative fashion.
How will AI fit into Docusign Products?
As we learn from our customers, a select group of innovative experiments in AI Labs will be incorporated into the Docusign product roadmap, and will be managed through our standard product delivery schedule.
What technology is Docusign using for generative AI enabled capabilities?
We are leveraging our strategic partnership with Microsoft and our bet on Azure Cloud to use Azure OpenAI for our Generative AI efforts. However, we will not be “locked-in” to one ecosystem; our model inference architecture is “pluggable” and can accommodate any of the large LLM providers, as well as a way to differentiate by training Docusign-proprietary models that leverage domain-specific agreement data.
Will my data in Docusign AI Labs be used for Docusign AI training?
Docusign safeguards customer data and respects data privacy in accordance with key privacy-by-design principles that enable compliance with GDPR and other privacy regimes globally. Customers can consent (via an opt-in model) to bring their own data to improve the accuracy of the model output. For customers that give explicit consent, Docusign AI Labs will tap into the knowledge contained within its agreement repository, including de-identified and anonymized customer data. For training, Docusign employs anonymization and de-identification of customer data. At inference time, our AI processes design includes industry-leading privacy practices, including access controls, data encryption (in-transit and at-rest).
Am I eligible to participate in AI Labs?
We are opening-up AI labs via an invitation-only beta to a group of select customers. In addition, we are having customers sign-up via a waiting list and work with us on the bleeding edge of market-leading AI for Agreement Analytics.
