The DocuSign eSignature Legality Guide is provided as a public resource to further understanding of eSignature legality, and clarify some of the common misconceptions surrounding international eSignature legality.

The guide is based on legal research into the laws and practices regarding eSignatures in a variety of countries. The underlying research was conducted by local law firms located in that country using that country’s local language. The research was then supplemented with complementary research on eSignature and digital signature technology standards conducted by independent technology experts.
