Digitale Transformation in Deutschland

Die digitale Transformation ist in vollem Gange – auch in Deutschland. Zu den zentralen Elementen des Wandels gehört die elektronische Signatur. Kein Wunder, schließlich ist das Unterzeichnen von Dokumenten, Schriftstücken und Verträgen auch im privaten Umfeld längst alltäglich. Da ist es angesichts der weit verbreiteten Kommunikation über digitale Kanäle nur konsequent, dass auch Unterschriften digital getätigt werden.

Die Voraussetzungen dafür sind seit 1. Juli 2016 gegeben. Seither ist die elektronische Unterschrift in ganz Europa standardisiert und als rechtsgültig anerkannt. Basis dafür ist die europäische elDAS-Verordnung (elDAS – „elektronische Identifizierung und Vertrauensdienste“). Darin heißt es: „Die Rechtsgültigkeit einer qualifizierten elektronischen Signatur entspricht jener einer handschriftlichen Unterschrift.“

Deutsche Telekom ist Partner von Docusign

Zu den bekanntesten weltweit agierenden Kommunikations-Unternehmen, die massiv auf die Verbreitung der elektronischen Signatur setzen, gehört die Deutsche Telekom, die ein Vertriebsabkommen mit Docusign unterzeichnete. Nach den Worten von Deutsche-Telekom-CEO Tim Höttges verhalf Docusign der Deutschen Telekom zu einem effizienteren und konkurrenzfähigeren digitalen Geschäft.

Dass die elektronische Signatur ein wesentliches Element erfolgreicher Digitalisierung ist, bestätigen Arbeitnehmer und Führungskräfte aus den unterschiedlichsten Branchen. In einer Studie, durchgeführt in Deutschland im Juni 2017 von Sapio Research im Auftrag von Docusign, bezeichnen zwei von drei Führungskräften (67 Prozent) den digitalen Abschluss von Verträgen als „eine unserer obersten Prioritäten“. Ebenso viele geben an, ihre Kunden wünschten sich, „dass sie unsere Vereinbarungen elektronisch unterzeichnen können“.

Die digitale Transformation genießt heute für 81 Prozent der befragten Führungskräfte „Top Priorität“. Dabei gehe es vor allem darum, die Kundenzufriedenheit zu erhöhen und die Beziehungen der Unternehmen zu ihren Kunden zu verbessern (Customer Relationship Management).

Elektronische Signatur bringt klare Vorteile

Von der Einführung der elektronischen Unterschrift erwarten viele der befragten Führungskräfte klare Vorteile in Bezug auf die wichtigsten Treiber für die digitale Transformation insgesamt: So gehen 48 Prozent davon aus, dass sich durch die elektronische Signatur Kosten senken lassen. 47 Prozent rechnen damit, dass sie mehr Sicherheit bringt, und 49 Prozent der Befragten versprechen sich von der Einführung der elektronischen Signatur eine Beschleunigung von Geschäftsprozessen.

Zusätzlich zu den Führungskräften befragte Sapio Research für seine Studie auch mehr als tausend Menschen in Deutschland, die sich in Vollzeit- oder Teilzeit-Arbeitsverhältnissen befinden.

Demnach erwarten vier von fünf Befragten (80 Prozent) von den Unternehmen, mit denen sie zu tun haben, dass sie ihnen digitale Methoden für die Unterzeichnung von Verträgen und den Erwerb von Produkten anbieten. 49 Prozent empfinden Papierformulare als altmodisch. 31 Prozent machen sich Sorgen, dass sich der Vorgang verzögern wird, wenn er mittels Papier abgewickelt wird, und 28 Prozent zweifeln, dass sich ein Unternehmen, das noch mit Papier arbeitet, für die Umwelt einsetzt.

Die Studie hat gezeigt, dass die elektronische Signatur in Deutschland als ein Katalysator der digitalen Transformation gesehen wird, die den Unternehmen starkes Entwicklungspotential bieten kann.

The cost of a solution can often be a deciding factor when choosing any tech solution, but when the security of your data it at risk, you shouldn’t necessarily go with the cheapest option. With that in mind, these are the top factors to consider over price alone: Compatibility: The provider should have a high trust pedigree in as many commonly used operating systems, web browsers, apps and devices as possible. Scalability: The provider should also be able to handle volumes that grow with your company, as you may end up needing thousands of certificates per second to be issued. Flexibility: The leading providers offer flexible purchasing terms. Pay-as-you-go, for example, allows you to order certificates when you see fit, regardless of amount. Bulk balance models also allow you to load money into your account. Platform: Your solution needs to be easy to use, support a variety of workflows and has a dynamic portal. Support: It's important to evaluate the services and support offerings available to help you succeed. Is an account manager on-hand, online support offered, communities to ask questions, and educational resources enabling you to self-serve? Where can I find Docusign's certificates? If you do not have a custom SSL integration then no action is needed. Docusign’s SSL (secure sockets layer) certificate used for our DEMO, NA1, NA2, NA3 and EU environments occasionally expires (every 2 years). When the SSL certificate is set to expire a new SSL certificate will be used. That means If you have custom API, Connect, or any other system integration that depends on Docusign’s SSL certificate then contact your IT department's network administrator to update the certificate to ensure seamless functionality.
