This position
DocuSign is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer who is a hands-on senior level technical resource to who will collaborate with our development and operations teams to improve the creation of infrastructure solutions that scale with our rapid growth.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Technical Operations Manager and is designated Remote.

● Prepare plans for development and installation of cloud infrastructure according to present and future requirements
● Provide expert technical support, administration, and engineering on all Cloud infrastructure issues
● Provide infrastructure architecture recommendations
● Work on providing a highly automated Cloud-based runtime environment for scaling a distributed and high-performance systems
● Plan and lead complicated technical projects that interact with a wide variety of teams within the company
● Utilize your deep experience and problem-solving skills to help prevent and investigate production issues
● Create automated scripts
● Document complex procedures and complex troubleshooting procedures related to systems/networks software and hardware
● Evaluate and recommend new technologies, optimize operational efficiency, and troubleshoot problems arising in the infrastructure platform environments
● Treat Infrastructure as Code by scripting tasks (Bash, Python, Powershell), using repositories (Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket), following an SDLC (Gitflow, Pull Requests), and never doing things manually in production
● Participate in deployment of overall disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategy
● Work collaboratively with the wider SCS & IT team and other groups to ensure that all infrastructure and information security controls meet internal and external compliance requirements
● Perform root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and provide future avoidance recommendations
● Monitor industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security of DocuSign technology assets
● Ensure that security controls implemented at DocuSign are effective at mitigating identified security threats

Basic qualifications
● BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux System Engineer and/or Administration
● Minimum of 3 years of experience with a major cloud provider experience (GCP, Azure, and/or AWS)
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure
● Minimum of 3 years of experience with automation: Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Configuration Management, Salt, Ansible, and/or Jenkins, etc.
● Minimum of 3 years of experience with Docker tooling and ecosystem
● Minimum of 3 years of experience Kubernetes architecture and real-world implementation experience highly desired
●Due to government contract requirements:
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen
• Candidate must be able to clear a post-offer government agency-specific background investigation and may be required to undergo additional background checks, including fingerprinting, drug testing, and/or other government-required investigations to obtain security clearance(s)

Preferred qualifications
● Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
● Able to quickly assess and address problems, escalating as necessary
● Strong troubleshooting and analytical reasoning skills
● Detail oriented and capable of working on multiple problems at once
● Experience creating automation scripts – Bash and Terraform specifically
● Experience with Docker tooling and ecosystem
● Kubernetes implementation and management
● Bash, Python, Terraform, Node or related experience highly desired
● Knowledge of enterprise Database and High Availability related technologies
● Knowledge of open source technologies across infrastructure desired

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado hourly pay range: $40.82/hour - $49.09/hour and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
