We’re excited to share that DocuSign’s contract management offering, SpringCM, was recognized as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Contract Lifecycle Management, Q1 2019, a highly regarded independent report.

DocuSign completed its acquisition of SpringCM in September 2018 to help accelerate customers’ ability to modernize their Systems of Agreement. Since then we’ve aligned roadmaps and have already announced the first solution to be jointly developed by both companies.

Forrester evaluated contract lifecycle management (CLM) providers based on 30 different criteria, including strategy, product offerings, market presence, and customer satisfaction. Of 13 companies evaluated, SpringCM was one of four “Leaders.” As the 2019 CLM Wave™ put it, SpringCM will be “an attractive option for US mid-size and large firms that want to partner with an innovative CLM vendor and are willing to grow with it.”

In the report, Forrester stated that SpringCM has “very good usability, strengths in contract creation, contract approval (including workflow), and contract repository.” Forrester also noted that SpringCM’s role in DocuSign’s System of Agreement vision “has attracted leading clients that have bought into its vision on how contracts should work.”

Finally, I’m pleased to note that SpringCM received the highest score possible in the references criterion. We think this underlines one of the reasons we acquired SpringCM: the company had built a large base of happy customers. It’s great to see, in our opinion, that fact shine through in this report.
