Dreamforce is known for drawing in avid learners from around the globe by the tens of thousands — and this year was no exception. Held in San Francisco’s Moscone Center, the conference kicked off early this morning. The centerpoint of the Dreamforce campus was a bright green lawn decked out in full “Trailhead” decor– including tents, hammocks, live music, and of course — Salesforce’s mascots Codey, Astro, Einstein, Hooty, and others.

While the center of Moscone was a sight to be seen, there was even more to experience inside the surrounding buildings. With over 1190 sessions and 28 keynotes on day one, any and all had the opportunity to immerse themselves in innovation no matter their interests, industry, or goals.

As a Dreamforce sponsor, we had the opportunity to connect with customers in a variety of ways: From our Customer Success Expo booths, to our Developer Forest presence, to 1:1 consultations at the W Hotel, the event provided an ideal platform for speaking face-to-face with individuals looking to sharpen their digital strategies and innovate in their businesses.

Here’s a look inside some of the most exciting moments from #DF17 Day 1.

DocuSign Sessions

Several of own thought leaders and subject matter experts shared their insights with Dreamforce attendees today.

Senior Product Manager Andy Tzou provided attendees with a live demo during his session, “Streamlining Digital Processes with DocuSign and Lightning.” “We can help reduce errors and improve compliance with our deep Salesforce integration,” said Tzou. “With DocuSign for Salesforce, you have Javascript custom buttons. It’s easy for them (signers and recipients) and easy for you.”

Caitlin Angeloff, director of global social media strategy, spoke on a panel discussion alongside Rusty Walters, senior manager of global marketing innovation and technology at Stanley Black & Decker, and Jen Forrest, director of social media at DEG Digital.

The three discussed strategies for success with B2B marketing, as well as the past and future of social media. On the intersection of content, strategy, and audience management, Angeloff said, “That’s your venn diagram. Once you dial that in, you’re going for a hyper-targeted win.”

Facebook LIVE

Kicking off our four-part social selling #DF17 Facebook LIVE series, Jill Konrath, thought leader and bestselling author, sat down with our Emmy award-winning host Jonas Tichenor. Together, the two discussed best practices, strategy, and more. You can view the interview in its entirety here.

“We Are All Trailblazers”

Salesforce CEO and Chairman Marc Benioff took the stage for the opening keynote alongside the CEO of Girl Scouts, Sylvia Acevedo, Salesforce Director of Trailhead T & P, Leah McGowen-Hare, and others.

The keynote was filled with augmented reality, confetti, insight, and of course — Trailblazers. Benioff first expressed his thankfulness towards everyone who has created, innovated with Salesforce. He also discussed Pledge 1%, and the intrinsic link between technology and philanthropy created by Trailblazers from all around the globe. Finally, he welcomed Salesforce co-founder and CTO, Parker Harris, onto the stage. Harris revealed Salesforce’s newest innovations, including “My Trailhead,” “My Einstein,” and others.
