Guest: Molly Rose, Strategic Alliances Manager at Box
It’s no secret. We’ve become a society that does business on the go from accessing emails on our mobile device, storing documents in the cloud for team collaboration, to communicating with colleges on Twitter. We like to do things digitally.
Recently, we had the privilege of sitting down with Molly Rose, Strategic Alliance Manager at Box, to discuss what digital trends she is seeing in business.
What is your favorite way to do business? And how does the partnership with DocuSign complement that effort?
At Box, we do all of our business online or “in the cloud.” The days of physical term sheets are over. Instead, we rely on email, Box and an array of other solutions, such as DocuSign to establish and grow our customer base and partnerships. With DocuSign specifically, we’re able to send out contracts for signature instantaneously from Box and receive it back before the end of the day without printing a single sheet of paper.
How does Box help customers keep business digital? And how is Box making the digital leap?
We believe that content is the core currency of every business. Organizations that choose Box to secure and collaborate on their content in the cloud remove traditional barriers between people and their information to make work easier. We strive to make it as simple as possible for our customers to access their content from the office, at home or the road by supporting every major platform, including iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry. Internally, my team uses a wide range of business tools all available on our OneCloud marketplace, which is an ecosystem of integrated mobile apps. We use apps for note taking, sharing presentations, eSignature and more.
What trend is Box seeing in mobile?
Smartphones and tablets have significantly transformed the business landscape. Enterprises that are starting to embrace mobility are also pressured to accept platform diversity, as employees want to use devices of their choice for personal and work use. Box recognized the challenges CIOs face with BYOD and has invested heavily in securing the entire content lifecycle – helping businesses manage users, devices and apps in the cloud, while also providing key intelligence and alerts.
What are your top favorite business apps and why?
Perhaps it goes without being said, but I love Box and believe in the value it brings to businesses. We have a great number of apps integrated with Box, so it’s hard to pick just three. On a day-to-day basis, I use DocuSign, iAnnotate, Notability, and docTrackr to improve the way I view, edit and secure my documents in the cloud.
