Announcing DocuSign for Dynamics 365 CRM v6.0

We’re proud to have a long-term strategic partnership with Microsoft. Together, we’ve made our industry-leading eSignature apps available to customers directly from the Microsoft apps they already use.  Our integration with Dynamics allows you to send agreements and approvals for eSigning directly from DocuSign for Dynamics CRM 365. Boost your customer experience by automating end-to-end business processes, and support your sales field by capturing customer data at the same time.

Today, we’re excited to announce the public preview of DocuSign for Dynamics 365 CRM 6.0. It includes two of the most-requested features: merge field write-backs and SharePoint files integration.

Merge Field Write-backs

We recently released the ability to merge data from Dynamics into a DocuSign envelope. This release now lets you write data back to Dynamics. This is implemented as a workflow assembly that reads a tab value, which gives you more control over how the data is used. For example, you can use the tab value to update a record in Dynamics, kick off an approval based on the value, send an email, create additional records, etc. Learn more here.

SharePoint Files Integration

Many customers use SharePoint Online with Dynamics for document management. DocuSign now supports this feature, so you can send documents for signature that are saved in SharePoint and save completed documents back to SharePoint.

Other updates

  • The “Get Signatures” guided sending flow will soon be deprecated.  Starting in version 6.0, new customers will have the default custom button enabled when the app is installed, and the Get Signatures option will not be available.
  • We now show the user-friendly entity name in the Entities tab of the DocuSign Admin page. You can see the “API Name” by hovering over it.
  • The Add Document action now supports wildcard (*) search in the Filename field
