Salesforce has announced a $1 Million Hackathon at DreamForce (#DF13) this year! This is the biggest single hackathon prize in history, if you haven’t formed your group and started coding yet we suggest you start now!
In addition to the $1 Million grand prize there is also a $50K second place prize, a $25K third place prize, a $10K fourth place prize, and a $5K fifth place prize. The only requirement is that you use the Salesforce Platform in building your app. This means you can use Heroku, Force.com, or ExactTarget, but are not required to use all three.
Here’s what Nick Tran, Sr. Director of Developer Marketing at Salesforce.com had to say about it:
“The Salesforce $1 Million Hackathon is going to bring together the best mobile app creators in the world. It’s going to be about business value, user experience, and differentiation! One way to stand apart is to use APIs from great Salesforce partners like DocuSign. The better your app, the more likely you are to take home a million bucks. We hope to see all of you with amazing ideas at Dreamforce.”
For a limited time, Salesforce is making it FREE ($99 value) to participate in the $1 Million Hackathon. Sign up for the Hacker Pass and you will get access to the Hackathon, plus all the great content and activities in the Developer Zone at Dreamforce.
And don’t forget to stop by the DocuSign Developer Zone Booth to get tips, learn more about the DocuSign API, and meet the team!
