Decline
If a signer does not wish to sign,
they may elect to decline to sign. If declined the transaction
is over, and all are notified.
Deleted Items Folder
Contains envelopes that were declined,
expired, or have been moved for deletion.
Draft folder
Contains envelopes that have been
started, but not sent. Draft folder items can be sent later.
DocuSign Web Desktop Client (Windows only)
A web service interface based on
SOAP and WSDL. This allows developers to easily and quickly send
documents for signature without investing in an online signing
and authentication infrastructure.
DocuSign Console
The primary online interface for
the DocuSign service. A folder-view contains tools to help you
manage your DocuSign account, keep track of envelopes, check on
status, forward, and print your documents.
DocuSign Gateway Service
A web service interface based on
SOAP and WSDL so developers can easily and quickly send documents
for signature without having to invest in building online signing
and authentication infrastructure.

Electronic Contract
According to the Federal ESIGN
act, an electronic contract is any document executed in electronic
form. It has the same legal standing as a paper contract.
Envelope
The container used to send one
or more documents for signature via the DocuSign system. Envelopes
may contain any number of pages or documents, and may be sent
to any number of recipients.

E-signature
As defined by Federal ESIGN Act,
an e-signature (or electronic signature) is an electronic sound,
symbol, or process, attached to or logically associated with a
contract or other record, and executed or adopted by a person
with the intent to sign the record.
