A
Access Code
An authentication process the Envelope
Sender uses to insure your privacy. The sender will communicate
the access code to you over the phone, in person or by regular
mail. Similar to a PIN used when you get a new credit card.
Activity
Refers to viewing, printing, sending,
signing, or declining envelopes. All activity is recorded by the
audit system, and is visible by selecting ‘History’ from
the main console page.
Adobe Acrobat
Software from Adobe, Inc. which
creates a standard file format with an extension of .PDF(Postscript
Definition Language).
Audit System
DocuSign system which watches all
document activity, and ensures all documents are secured, and
all elements of the transaction are recorded with the transaction
file creating a non-reputable signing process.
C
Corporate Account
Account set up for Company Users
who are billed by invoice rather than by credit card.
Correct
To make changes to an envelope
after it was sent, but before the signers have accessed it. This
feature enables the sender to re-set the recipient email address,
access code, and ID Verify.
Credit Card Validation Number (CCV)
The CCV (Credit Card Validation)
number is a 3 digit code printed on the BACK of your card in the
signature panel This number provides an additional check on the
validity of the card.
Custom Tracking Fields
A set of user-definable fields
which can be added to the envelope email notice. These fields
can make it easier to find documents later on.
Consumer Disclosure Wizard (ESIGN)
A quick and easy way to set up
the appropriate legal framework to ensure that your signed documents
are always in compliance with the Federal ESIGN legislation. This
is managed by DocuSign for you.
