Release 9.2
On October 6, 2009, the DocuSign Electronic Contract Execution Service will be upgraded. The upgrades are focused on improving usefulness and usability of the service.
Change to email: using "reply to" as opposed to "sent on behalf of"
Emails from the DocuSign Service can now be sent with the 'from' entry using the senders name, and "reply to" so that if the recipient replies to the system generated message, it will be directed to the actual sender. In the past, DocuSign used "on behalf of".
Version 2.2 of the DocuSign Connect API will no longer be available
Accounts using version 2.2 of the DocuSign Connect API should upgrade to a newer version of the API before October 6, 2009. Contact your DocuSign Account Manager for more information.
Support for faxing and uploading documents into the envelope during the signing process
Senders of documents for electronic signature can request their signers to add attachments (for example, a W-2, a bank statement, or a letter) to the documents by uploading or faxing them into the DocuSign envelope. This will be a task assigned to recipients. Senders can also optionally allow their signers to return their documents by fax rather than electronically signing. This will add the faxed-in signed document to the envelope. Use of these two features can be configured on an account basis.Fax support may include additional fees depending on the usage level.
Signing documents using mobile phone browsers
Signers will now be able to view and sign documents on mobile phone browsers such as iPhone and Blackberry. DocuSign will provide a streamlined signing process specifically optimized for the smaller mobile device user interface.
Signature and initials enhancements
Senders will be able to select a standard size signature and initial, or a smaller sized version such as might be required on small forms or where space is tight. The signature and initials tabs will also better indicate the height and width of the tabs so senders have a better idea of where exactly the signature will appear. In addition, an optional signature will be available supporting workflows that require a signer to sign 'one of' a set of documents.
Improved Correct Function
DocuSign's Correct feature allows senders to adjust name, email and authentication options after the envelope has been sent without having to start the transaction over. In this release, we are expanding what can be corrected in envelopes that have already been sent to include adding/removing users, adding/removing tabs, adding/removing documents. In addition, the sender will be able to view all the tabs from all the recipients in the envelope's current state.
Recipients and Address Book Enhancements
Adding recipients in the DocuSign Service, our web product, will be easier. Senders will have a checkbox to add themselves as a signer rather than typing the email and name. The Recipients window will be updated to make adding and editing recipients easier and faster.
Manage Account Enhancements
DocuSign is updating the tools to manage your DocuSign account. The Manage Account function will be redesigned and the options will be grouped to make it easier to find and use.

The DocuSign Team
