DocuSign Announces DocuSign Connect® for 3rd Party Application Integration

Highly Anticipated Release Adds Powerful 3rd Party Application and Business Process Integration Capabilities to Industry's Most Adopted Electronic Signature and Online Contract Execution Platform

SEATTLE, WA - Oct. 30, 2008 –DocuSign Inc., the #1 provider of on-demand software services for electronic signature and online contract execution announced today it has expanded the core capabilities of its award-winning DocuSign® platform with the highly anticipated release of DocuSign Connect.

DocuSign Connect is a suite of application integration services that allow SMBs, enterprises, and vendors to integrate DocuSign’s electronic signature and online contract execution platform into any 3rd party or in-house business application; including CRM, ERP, ERM, BPM, and CLP systems. With this integration, businesses are able to immediately improve their contract management and execution processes to reduce operational expenses, accelerate deal closures to drive revenue generation, and improve customer satisfaction.

“In a difficult economy where capital investment budget dollars are unavailable, our proven Software-as-a-Service solutions have become the technology of choice for delivering immediate business value,” commented Matthew J. Schiltz, CEO and President of DocuSign.  “DocuSign is highly successful with companies who are focused on driving  immediate cost reductions and profitability improvements -- especially critical when navigating such a challenging economic  environment.”

There are two primary components of DocuSign Connect that include the DocuSign Connect API and the DocuSign Connect Service.

  • The DocuSign Connect API is an application programming interface that exchanges information between the DocuSign Platform and any 3rd party or in-house enterprise business application to provide complete document transparency and control across all platforms.  With this component, companies are able to fully integrate the electronic signing process of DocuSign directly into critical business systems such as e-commerce websites that require online customer signatures; or core business applications like customer relationship management tools where online signatures can accelerate certain processes.
  • The DocuSign Connect Service is a standards-based web service that works with the DocuSign Connect API to automatically populate 3rd party business systems or applications with DocuSign contract transaction data such as contract status, content changes and updates, and document completion via eSignatures.  In doing this, the system completely eliminates the need, expense and time involved in re-keying data shared between downstream business applications.  Through this component all contract and document activity and information – whether it’s the delivery notification and accompanying contract data of all completed contracts into a CRM application or the delivery of digitally signed contracts and associated metadata into a contract management database– is automatically and seamlessly populated into downstream business systems and applications.

“DocuSign Connect is the only product on the market today that can seamlessly deliver contract data and status directly from a signed agreement into downstream applications in real-time, while providing businesses with 100% visibility into the transaction flow,” commented Tom Gonser, vice president of product strategy at DocuSign.  “It also reduces operational expense – which is critically important in a tight economy - by eliminating paper handling and duplicate data entry costs.”
Along with the release of DocuSign Connect, DocuSign is announcing the availability of DocuSign’s Professional Consulting Services which are immediately available to all SMB and enterprise customers who want to integrate DocuSign Connect into their existing business systems and 3rd party applications.

The cost of DocuSign Connect is included in all SMB and enterprise agreements with Professional Consulting Services offered on a fee basis.  Additional information about DocuSign, its portfolio of products and new Professional Consulting Services is available by contacting DocuSign Sales at 1.866.219.4318 or visiting the Company’s website at www.docusign.com.
