Smile DocuSign Express Announced

If you've been watching Twitter and other areas, you may have noticed some appearances of DocuSign Express. DS Express is a free service designed to allow non-customers to easily send documents for simple signature. It is really not designed to be a replacement for a DocuSign account. If you just need one thing signed every few months, and it is not something that requires much workflow, etc, then this is a perfect service for you.

DocuSign Express does not require you have an Account with DocuSign. It is also limited compared to a full DocuSign account by the following:
  • Send only one document per envelope
  • Send to only one other person (you can also sign if you need to)
  • No higher-order authentication other than email
  • Freeform signing only - signature, initials, etc are placed by the signer wherever they want
  • Limited to sending 5 times per month
  • No certificate of completion or audit trail access
  • No data collection
  • No correct, void, resend, or reassign features
  • No sequencing

It is just designed to be SUPER SIMPLE. Just enter your name, the recipient name, email notice, and document and send. Once signed you will get an email notice with your signed document back.

To see an example of one of the DS Express 'widgets' out there, check out Google's Gadget page:

Have fun!
