I am receiving a repeated error message when attempting to upload PDF files of: Our system has encountered a problem when trying to convert this file to PDF.
If this problem continues, please try converting this file to PDF by other means, then upload the file again. And ideas? |

Beth D: What internet browser and version are you receiving the errror on? (IE 7, IE 8, Firefox 3.5.x ...) And what is the file type that you are trying to upload and receive the error on? Does the error always happen with any file you try to upload, or is it only this particular file that errors out?
thanks! -damon |

I do not have an issue going through IE - but that is not my preferred browser. Is IE the only option for this particular function?

Lets try to troubleshoot the problem, to do so, follow these steps:
1. Sign-in to DocuSign > Go to the “new” tab and start a new envelope. - On the “documents” tab, find the Upload Document: section and click on the “browse” button - Find another PDF file on your computer and click “open” - The file should upload and show up in the document list: - Verify that the document has loaded correctly in the tagging section. If that file uploads correctly, the problem isn't system-wide--it's specific to that file. However, the way DocuSign interacts with the file may affect it from being uploaded correctly. Go to step 2 to try different methods of loading a corrupt file. 2. Try Printing* “send to DocuSign Envelope” the problem PDF *You need to have the DocuSign Print Client (Standard) Installed. If you do not have it you can download it here: http://www.docusign.com/support/sender_downloads.php 3. Do you still get the error message? |

We just had a user discover a fix for their issue on Firefox. They were using a version of Adobe Acrobat Reader < 9.1 . You can go to Tools -> Add-ons in the Firefox menu to see what version of Adobe Acrobat PDF plug-in you have installed. This particular user upgraded to Adobe Reader 9.2 (on Firefox 3.5) and it resolved their issue.
