Before we discuss how ESIGN and electronic contract execution fit into real estate, let’s understand the RealTown community. In 1995, those responsible for RealTown submitted their training and publishing plan to the National Association of Realtors, including the plan for a Real Estate Portal for Realtors. Launched in 2007, RealTown provides the real estate community with community tools to forward the vision of the four C’s: Content, Context, Community and Culture. One of the major components of this portal is RealTalk, enabling RealTown members to receive and distribute content via email.

Recently, DocuSign joined RealTown. Why? With so many Realtors and real estate agents as customers, we want to understand the challenges they face. This enables us to provide better service and create useful features. By following discussions on RealTalk, we hope to provide useful insight to help the real estate community where we can, especially regarding electronic signatures and online contract execution.

With real estate specific partnerships with many of the major forms providers such as IRES, Realfast, Reveal Systems (TrueForms), Ziplogix (Zipforms) and Fidelity National Real Estate Solutions, DocuSign continually innovates for real estate. DocuSign’s electronic signature and online contract execution supports signing by multiple people with only one email address, as is the case when a husband and wife share an email address. DocuSign also works with ESRA, the Electronic Signature and Records Association, to establish clarity in policies regarding the use of electronic signature and electronic contract execution.

DocuSign’s commitment to providing an electronic signature and online contract execution tool that helps real estate agents save time, money and close more deals has brought us to RealTown. We hope you stop by, say hello and let us know how we can help you. Please don’t be shy – we’re nice, we promise!

Robert Sanchez, our LA-based Regional Sales Director, recently alerted us to the opportunity to become more involved in the Southern California community, by sponsoring an ad for the 2009 United Cup.

This soccer tournament impacts thousands of kids and provides them with an opportunity to participate in a highly competitive tournament. To be successful, these kids have to work hard in practice and learn how to play together as a team. Self discipline, teamwork, and time management skills developed in soccer and other team sports provide these kids with useful skills on and off the soccer field.

The DocuSign team understands the value of discipline, teamwork and time management – we all work together to provide our senders and signers with award-winning electronic signature and electronic contract execution services. Working with our customers, supporting their communities and participating where we can enables us to continue to innovate and provide ESIGN and ECE solutions that fit our customers’ needs.

DocuSign supports the 2009 United Cup, which takes place in San Juan Capistrano, August 8th-9th. Registration closes July 25th. This tournament is open to boys and girls in the U9-U19 age groups.
