DocuSign saves 60,000 Trees and 1 Million Square Feet of Rain Forest

Thanks to your help, DocuSign has processed more than a half billion pages of legally binding documents in seven years—this averages to more than 71 million documents each year!

According to the University of California’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the average tree is capable of producing 8,300 pages of paper. With this estimate, the DocuSign network has saved more than 60,000 trees. To put this into perspective, here’s a few fun facts about what 60,000 trees translates to that may surprise you:

Withdrawing Authoritative Copy with DocuSign API and Java.

One of the features that makes DocuSign service valuable to Financial markets is the ability to track electronic originals.  This is important because when you deal with electronic documents a copy is just as good as the original down to the last byte.  In cases where a bond is traded or a stock certificate changes hands it’s critical to maintain the chain of custody for it.
