New Time-Saving Functionality for Real Estate Professionals
DocuSign Extends Integration within flexmls Forms to 90,000 Real Estate Professionals
We're excited to announce the advanced functionality of our electronic signature service within flexmls Forms. With FBS, creators of the flexmls® family of Web applications used by more than 90,000 real estate professionals, we've extended the integration of DocuSign to provide pre-tagged flexmls Forms. This advanced functionality provides flexmls Forms users heightened convenience with DocuSign pre-tagged flexmls forms to accelerate the real estate document signing process and ensure deals close faster.
In the competitive real estate market, minutes can literally make the difference when closing a deal. Through flexmls Forms Web solution, real estate professionals can more quickly prepare documents for client electronic signature. With a simple click of the mouse, real estate professionals can select pre-tagged forms within flexmls Web application, then electronically “send” to clients using DocuSign. The client receives an email notification, is authenticated and quickly navigated through the e-signing process.
By extending the integration of DocuSign within flexmls, real estate agents can further simplify the real estate contract signing process, save hours of time each week, eliminate signing errors and accelerate deal close rates. Michael Wurzer, president and CEO of FBS, states:
Our goal at FBS is to help agents complete more transactions and this new time-saving functionality from DocuSign to our Forms system will help in realizing that goal. As the standard in the real estate market, DocuSign improves the speed, accuracy and efficiency of getting contracts signed, and with pre-tagged flxmls Forms, these benefits are further magnified.
Rather than driving across town to get a signature or forcing clients to find a fax machine, real estate professionals use DocuSign to execute agreements with buyers and sellers electronically, eliminating the old process of printing, faxing and waiting for the return fax. With real estate forms signed in minutes, not days, DocuSign real estate professional subscribers achieve higher sales, increase client satisfaction and maintain a competitive edge. Safe and secure, the DocuSign electronic signature process is also easy to use and legally compliant. Dave Thorpe, business development director at DocuSign, shares:
The relationship between the flexmls Web applications and DocuSign is a natural as both services provide real estate professionals with state of the art technology to complete real estate transactions faster and easier. FBS has made it possible for its customers to leverage the power of the DocuSign electronic signature platform directly from their flexmls user interface and receive ongoing support from FBS for maximum convenience.

Promises, promises, promises. Unfortunately this beta version is not broker friendly, and the only tech support appears to be a virtual assistant from some country outside of the USA, who has no real experience with real estate and does not even know what a counter offer is. I thought it would have been much easier for a broker to use. The so called video tutorials have been shut down and not been available for weeks.
And the online support is weak and took 28 minutes to coach me in how to execute a simple Counter Offer...with one seller and one buyer signature required. They should have been able to walk me through that in 5 minutes.
Also, there appears to be no way to resend just one page of the contract for and additional signature, after the contract has been mailed once.
There is no way the tech stated to just send one contract of several contracts that have been put into a folder (folder is where you keep the files for the transaction, like 221 Jones street). So you have to go to win forms and resent the contract as a new file. Not fun in the middle of a deal with buyers and selling already in a strong emotional state. And that makes the agent look like an amatuer. That is bad.
I am sorry when I have several thousand in commissions on the line, I don't have time for this silliness, to have to spend lengthly time on the phone trying to use the system.
Great idea e-sign. The product is a beta version and get 2 thumbs down for ease of use by an agent. How the NAR signed off and recommended this product raises serious questions about someone at NAR. Let's see if the post this frank comment.
Charles,
Thank you for your comment - we're pleased to share that on March 9, 2010, we launched the DocuSign REALTOR® Edition and we constantly seek users' feedback to provide easy, intuitive electronic signature services. If you've received phone support without a phone support plan, we're glad to have gone above and beyond to help you, as customer support is a priority for us. Regarding specific knowledge of your business, our reps look to you for your expertise - we service many industries, including Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft, Expedia and others. We also service individuals and small and medium businesses, so we want to have a very clear understanding of what you need and you're the best person to explain that to us.
Because customer support is a priority for us, we have many free electronic signature resources available in addition to our support page - our electronic signature video tutorials are available on YouTube with 1,518 channel views and 47,931 upload views. We also provide free weekly e-signature webinar trainings - you can attend as many as you register for and ask your questions!
DocuSign REALTOR® Edition provides the REALTOR® community with special features unavailable anywhere else, including REALTOR branding, that enables you to leverage your relationship with NAR. In terms of features, you can use DocuSign's "Fix on the Fly" to correct a document before any signers have completed the signing - this feature will allow you to get the additional e-signature you mentioned in your comment, as explained in the first of these electronic signature tips.
We hope that helps and we appreciate you coming to us and sharing your thoughts!
Best,
An Bui, DocuSign Social Media
