Karell specializes in designing dream vacations for travelers to exotic destinations. Paying for vacations using a credit card was often inconvenient for clients. Karell faxed credit card authorizations to clients, who in turn, would complete, sign and fax back the form. Receiving and returning credit card authorizations often meant clients had to pay for the use of a fax machine or mail the completed authorization to Karell. Delays in securing payment could jeopardize booking travel at competitive rates. Plus, wasting paper by printing and faxing simply did not align with Karell's underlying belief in giving back to the planet.

Pieters knew there had to be a better way. After thorough research, Pieters approached DocuSign and accepted a free trial. Karell travel specialists immediately began sending credit card authorizations to clients for electronic signature. Karell clients received an email notification, adopted an e-signature, and e-signed and completed credit card authorization within hours. After a few weeks, Karell was convinced and contracted for the DocuSign service. With this success and the positive client feedback, Karell has expanded the use of DocuSign with client questionnaires and other travel forms.
