How-To Send and eSign With DocuSign for Salesforce

DocuSign for Salesforce enables you to send any document for electronic signature from Salesforce. With DocuSign for Salesforce, you can:

• Send from any Salesforce tab
• Track contracts sent
• Get real-time status
• Collect data in documents
• Update Salesforce records AUTOMATICALLY

All without ever leaving Salesforce! It’s as easy as sending a Salesforce email!

The video above will show you how to use the Automatic Anchor Tabs in DocuSign for Salesforce.

1. Click the “Send With DocuSign” button.
2. Edit the email message to your recipients.
3. Click “Add Recipients” button to add a signer.
4. Find a lead, contact or user and click the “Select” button.
5. Add the routing order, type, role and access code information and a note.
6. Add documents in the Documents Tab and set reminders for when the offer expires. Click “Send Now” to send your document for electronic signature.

The confirmation message provides details of your electronic signature request.

What do the recipients of a document sent via DocuSign for Salesforce see?

1. Your recipient receives an email with your subject and message.
2. He or she clicks “Review” to begin signing.
3. He or she agrees to conduct business electronically and creates an electronic signature.
4. The automatic anchor tabs are pre-embedded and he or she clicks “Start” to begin the guided e-signing process.
5. He or she will be guided to each location on the document that requires an eSignature.
6. Once all of the electronic signatures are placed, he or she can elect to “Stay and Review” or “Complete Signing”
7. To acknowledge his or her eSignatures and return the documents to the sender, he or she selects the “Complete Signing” button.

He or she can then download his or her documents or create an account.

You can use Salesforce to track the status of your documents sent for electronic signature in your DocuSign Status list in your Opportunities Record.

Dashboards help you manage your dealflow – how many deals are being sent out, who is sending them, and how quickly they get signed.
