How can you save time, money and “green” your office to drive your business for a better bottom line? Electronic signatures and online contract execution plays a role so let’s look at the tips I’ve found on Outright’s Entrepreneur Blog.

1. Print with deliberation – Paper costs money. Print 2-sided when you have to print. If you implement paperless processes, you’ll save money because you aren’t using as much paper and you don’t have data entry costs from transferring information from paper to your computer.
2. Digitize your documents – Using email for your documents means you don’t have to print and mail / fax your documents. Again, you can save paper. If you mail documents, the mail process also burns gas and takes time. DocuSign provides electronic signature and online contract execution services so you can have entirely paperless processes. Those in real estate, insurance, financial services and other industries have adopted electronic signature processes to save money, time and the environment.
3. Install compact fluorescent lights – These light bulbs last longer and use less energy than regular light bulbs. Just make sure you recycle them, because they contain mercury.
4. Implement a recycling program – Some office buildings include recycling. If yours does not, investigate local recycling centers or ask your municipality.
5. Check your computer’s energy save settings – Computers have different settings which enables it to go into hibernate mode after a period of inactivity, thus saving energy. An extra bonus is longer battery life for laptop users, which is great if you’re out and about with clients.

Of course, we understand how electronic signature and online contract execution as part of paperless business processes shorten sales cycles to help you drive revenue. Saving energy costs can really add up over time. What tips do you have to share about “greening” your office?
