DocuSign Sightings: How I am Surviving my Vacation
I enjoy reading blog posts about DocuSign and I especially enjoy funny, well written blog posts about DocuSign. Luba Muzichenko, a real estate agent in San Francisco and one of our users, took time out of her vacation to share a bit about her vacation experience with DocuSign.
Murphy’s Law
Luba went on a short getaway and all she brought with her was her laptop and cell phone. Of course, as soon as she left, things started to happen:
One client had to renegotiate a purchase contract, requiring 8 different documents go back and forth.
3 different documents because the deal was complicated.
The third client needed to submit a purchase offer, including 180 pages of disclosures for the property itself, the purchase contract, several other standard mandated property disclosures, more random property disclosures that popped up and 3 counteroffers.
What did Luba do when each document needed a signature and/or needed to be marked up?
With no printer, no fax and no Kinko’s around, Luba had these documents signed by the right people and sent to those who needed them because she uses DocuSign’s electronic signature and online contract execution services - all while on vacation. For the cost of “a couple of cups of coffee a month,” Luba can send documents via email for her clients to sign electronically with a click of a mouse. No printers, fax machines, scanners, Kinko’s or tree killing needed!
Luba’s clients have signed documents in:
Airports,
Hotels in foreign countries,
on iPhones while driving down the freeway (hopefully as passengers – we do not endorse the use of DocuSign while driving or operating heavy machinery)
She’s helped clients complete transactions in:
Her “real” office in Noe Valley
Her Home office on Great Highway (ie, her couch)
At a conference or seminar, or
On vacation (like she is now!)
All that’s needed to use DocuSign’s electronic signature and electronic contract execution processes is a laptop, the documents to be signed in PDF format, internet connection, and the appropriate email addresses. Because the entire transaction is paperless, no trees were harmed in the creation of this online contract execution process.
If you want to be green and send documents in the most efficient way possible, allowing you to cut operational costs and do deals more quickly, sign up for DocuSign. If you’re working with a Realtor, ask if he or she uses DocuSign.
If you’re in the San Francisco area, get in touch with Luba via phone or email (luba@zephyrsf.com) – in addition to DocuSign, she has other tools up her sleeve to benefit her clients. Phone, email, electronic signature and online contract execution… communication and business deals don’t get any greener than this.
