DocuSign Users: Getting to Know Richard Bazinet of John Hall & Associates

Q: Tell us where you are from and what you do for a living?

A: I’m a Realtor® based in Scottsdale, Arizona serving Scottsdale, Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Las Sendas, Troon, Rio Verde and Cave Creek/Carefree.

Q: What gets you really motivated and excited?

A: Every day is exciting for me – life is too short as it is. My life, friends, relatives and job motivate me everyday. I have the best business in the world.  I find helping people materialize their dreams, their wants and needs by helping them buy and sell real estate very motivating and exciting. I have 19 year olds buying their first homes, newlyweds, folks in their 40s and 50s selling their homes for a bigger or better one, as well some great people in their 60s buying their retirement home.

 
Q: There are many people that use DocuSign in many different ways, like using the consistent, personalized branding, bulk sending or multiple signers functionality or using the API to integrate with existing programs like Salesforce. How do you get the most out of DocuSign and what has been your most extraordinary DocuSign moment?

A: In my business, writing offers and signing offers deal with critical time deadlines. On the buy side just like the sell-side of the equation, there is always a sense and need of urgency. As well, metro Phoenix is now the 5^th largest metro in the USA – so getting around town for in-person signatures is not efficient neither effective. In my business, time is of the essence. I get the deals done quick, traffic does not stop me. And, my business is converting to e-records. So it does not make sense to use traditional paper records. All docs are now going electronic.

 
Q: How did you discover DocuSign and do you know others who use technology tools like DocuSign in your area? What would you say about the knowledge of people in your area about electronic signature and electronic contract execution (ECE) in general?

A: Did my own research and frankly I don’t know anyone else using it. I had an attorney once challenge me on the legality of Docusign. But it quickly died down when he noticed how efficiently I was getting things done.

 
Q: Give us one fun fact about yourself you haven’t already shared.

A: I use DocuSign and other simple information technology in my business to make it better. But I’m not a propeller-head. I’m a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor. I have mellowed over the years as well. But I’m serious in my work and will always give you the #1 care.

 
Q: Any other tidbits you would like to offer?

A: I think DocuSign could have a few other additional features and some interface improvements to increase its value and functionality, but that’s another story. So far, I’m very happy with the performance and its features and it’s a great tool for my business.
