What Bad Weather? With Internet and DocuSign, It’s Business As Usual.

As we all remember, storms in December hit much of the US. People were trapped at airports, hotels, and many of our DocuSign customers were stuck working from home or even from the homes of friends and relatives.
Even when traveling to the office or trying to get to a meeting is too treacherous due to weather conditions, contracts still needs to be signed and paperwork needs to be moved from one signer to another. Even as the weather rages business must continue. At times like these, we learn the real value of Software as a Service, specifically electronic signature and online contract execution.
Even in Seattle, a normally temperate area, DocuSign employees had a very difficult time getting to the office due to severe snow storms. However, because we could access our DocuSign accounts via the internet, we conducted business as usual. We received several reports from customers who discovered that just because they can’t get to their workplaces doesn’t mean that they must stop working.
Late on a Friday morning Maria from California was snowed in while visiting her family in New Jersey. She had a contract she needed to get signed before the end of the day. One of our Support Team members walked her through downloading the DocuSign print driver and Maria printed her contract to DocuSign, got it tagged and signed by her customer before close of business!
Robert, a homebuyer living in Denver, was stuck at an airport on the 24th and wanted to close on the purchase of his new home before the holiday. Because DocuSign Web can be accessed from anywhere, he was able to login to his email from his laptop, sign his documents using the airport’s Wi-Fi connection and close the sale quickly. Real estate agents use DocuSign to accelerate their business.
DocuSign was designed to save our clients time and increase the speed of contract signature. Because you can access your service from any computer with internet access, bad weather and unexpected delays will not prevent you from conducting business, an added bonus.
