As I mentioned in my post earlier this month on the high-cost of overnight shipping, the players in that market are in trouble. It hasn't taken long for the impact of higher fuel prices to manifest itself at FedEx, the carrier most dependent on its overnight letter business.
I am headed back from Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston where I was on a panel to discuss Enterprise 2.0 and its growth. I don't like paying $4 a gallon for gasoline - nobody does... But unless you are pilot you probably have not looked at the U.S. Spot price for Jet Fuel. As of today, it sits at more than $4.00 per gallon for the US Gulf coast.
