Gary Gigot |
Gary serves on the board of Aprimo, Aveso, Clearsight,
DocuSign, and OnRequest Images. Gary was an investor in
Visio Corporation (NASDQ: VSIO) and signed on as their
chief marketing officer, where he played a central role
in positioning Visio as the leader in business drawing
software. Gary’s technology experience includes serving
as vice president of marketing at Microsoft from 1990 to
1994, where he managed the advertising, PR, research, channel,
events and direct marketing disciplines. During his Visio
years, the market capitalization rose from $25 million
to $1.3 billion, after which the company was sold to Microsoft.
Mr. Gigot is a 16-year advertising veteran, principally
with Ogilvy & Mather.
Gary remains an active philanthropist, having founded the
Gigot Center of Entrepreneurial Studies at Notre Dame and
the United Way of King County’s "Out of the
Rain" initiative to end homelessness. Gary currently
sits on the Notre Dame Business School Advisory Council,
the University of Washington College of Arts & Sciences
Advisory Board and the Board of Managers of Northwest Horticulture.
Jonathan
Roberts |
Jonathan Roberts is a Founder and a Partner of Ignition. He invests in business application and services companies and represents Ignition as director on the boards of Airwave Wireless, DocuSign, Entellium, Intelligent Results, Clearsight Systems, and Spoken Communications.
Prior to Ignition Roberts spent 13 years at Microsoft, most recently as General Manager of the Windows CE Intelligent Appliance Division, where he was responsible for developing new WinCE products, product marketing, business development and long-term planning for the Windows CE platform as well as the retargeting of the Microsoft's PocketPC effort.
Roberts led the marketing and business efforts for Windows 3.1, 3.11, Windows NT 3.51, NT 4.0, BackOffice 1.0, Windows 98 and NT 4.0 on the Desktop, and finally all of Windows CE including embedded, Pocket PC, Auto, Phones, Set-top, Games, etc.
Roberts received his B.A. in history from the University of Washington
where he was also Student Body President. In addition to his Ignition
boards, Jonathan serves on the board of Epiphany School and the University
of Washington Foundation Board.
Peter
Solvik |
Prior to joining Sigma, Peter had a very successful 10-year
career at Cisco Systems. His contributions as Senior Vice
President & CIO,
and founder & general manager of the Internet Business Solutions Group
helped make Cisco one of the most successful companies
of our time. During his tenure from 1992-2002, Cisco achieved wide recognition
for early and aggressive use of the Internet, e-commerce and information
technology, including being a very early customer of supply chain and
e-commerce industry leaders like Ariba, Seibel and Web Methods. During
Peter’s time
at Cisco the company experienced explosive success, growing
from $300 million to well over $20 billion in annual sales
run rate. Prior to Cisco, Peter spent 11 years at Apple Computer. He held
a number of senior IT management roles supporting the rapid growth and
global expansion of the firm and oversaw the Apple Online Services Group.
Peter was named to the CIO 100 4 times by CIO Magazine;
selected as one of "The 25 Most Powerful Executives in Networking" by
Network World; and featured in four Harvard Business School
case studies on the successful use of information technology
in the enterprise. He has often been quoted in articles on IT and eBusiness
in Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, the Economist, the
New York Times, Information Week, CIO Magazine and many
other publications and books. Peter has been a keynote speaker at over
50 industry conferences on information technology and eBusiness.Peter
has his B.S. in Business Administration, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
